(KNOX) – The East Grand Forks City Council approved a proposal for grant writing services from Widseth Engineering. The grant writing services would be used for an application to receive funding from the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Local Road Improvement Program. The city is able to receive $1.5 million for possible construction projects if their application is accepted. The expected cost for hiring Widseth for grant writing services is $5,000.
The East Grand Forks City Council also approved a second reading of an updated Greenway ordinance that would change the maximum wattage of electric assist and pedal assist bicycles from 1,000 watts to 750 watts. This would define both as different classes of e-bikes and e-scooters.Â
