Why broadcasting: I listened so much as a kid, ball-games, hockey, countdown shows, I was always in charge of the radio. Prefer it to most other forms of media. Best part about the job is being on the radio, hands down.. It’s like recess in school.
Things I say a lot: Put a fan on it… Just reboot it… Jiggle the handle… Rub some dirt on it… We’ve driven in worse… The Vikings will win a Super Bowl…
When I am not watching or reporting the news, I enjoy: Political shows, maybe an action TV series, cars, ice fishing, open water fishing, watching sports, and hockey… Did I say hockey?
My favorite off-air obsession: I think factoids or the “did you know” type of thing. Example: Navy bean soup has been served at the U.S. Senate Cafeteria everyday for over 100 years but no one knows why… Also, there is a secret vault between Norway and the North Pole that holds every type of crop seed.

Monday – Friday 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Why broadcasting: I started as a part-timer, and loved the industry. I decided to make my fun job my full-time job.
Memorable career moment: Broadcasting the 100th meeting between Valley City State and Jamestown College in football. The Vikings won with nine seconds left.
Personal motto: Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe.
When I am not watching or reporting the news, I enjoy: Camping, fishing and hunting, spending as much time with my kids as I can. Umpiring baseball, refereeing volleyball and wrestling.
My favorite off-air obsession: Do-it-yourself projects for home repair.

Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Why broadcasting: I had spent several decades doing interviews and recorded products used by media outlets as a Weather Service spokesman. After moving to the private sector, the idea of being on the ‘other side’ of the microphone was appealing. Not to take advantage of the opportunity to speak with a wide variety of people and get the opinions of those listening has been a blessing.
Memorable career moment: There are many, but the one that stands out – covering the Cody Holte Funeral live as a fresh employee of Leighton.
Personal motto: When I make a mistake, I try to learn from it.
When I am not watching or reporting the news, I enjoy: Watching the grandkids, gardening, bicycling, walking, relaxing with my wife – and not working midnights!
My favorite off-air obsession: The weather as a hobby, obviously. The real obsession, for now – watching the grands and planning the next garden. Bicycling in the summer is a must.

Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Why broadcasting: I love the competition of ideas. Talk radio allows for a real time debate and discussion within our community from multiple vantage points.
Memorable career moment: Being on the air when learning the verdict of President Trump trials
Personal motto: Know where you want to go and work backwards to figure out how to get there.
When I am not watching or reporting the news, I enjoy: Spending time with my family, teaching in various capacities, snow skiing.
My favorite off-air obsession: Sailing, I love learning about sailboats and enjoy planning and thinking about a future circumnavigation. It’ll happen!!
