
(Learfield) – Minnesota is among a group of 17 states that just scored a court victory against some of the largest egg producers in the country.
Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that the evidence showed three egg producers coordinated for years to influence the daily price index for eggs. In the victory, the states secured more than 50 million eggs for consumers nationwide and $3.3 million dollars from the producers.
Ellison says through the settlement, Minnesota will obtain roughly two million eggs that will be delivered to food banks and community organizations.
