Soccer Finale Features Cushman Cup Battle Tuesday

(KNOX) – Central and Red River meet again tonight as the regular season for high school soccer comes to a close.

The Knights and Roughriders meet tonight for the final installment of the Cushman Cup battle for 2026.  The cup is awarded to the winner of the regular season series.

Red River defeated Central 4-2 in the first meeting this season.  Central would have to win by three goals tonight to win the cup.

Central has a spot in the state tournament on the line.  They lead Fargo Davies by a single point in the standings for the final spot.  Davies hosts Fargo Shanley tonight.  Davies would own the tiebreaker if the two were deadlocked after tonight.

Red River is tied with West Fargo Sheyenne for second place.  The Riders should own that tiebreaker, but Sheyenne will be heavily favored in their matchup with West Fargo tonight.  Red River likely needs a win to claim the number two seed.
