
(KNOX) – Red River baseball was an upset victim in the opening round of the Eastern Dakota Conference baseball tournament.
The Roughriders were upended 5-2 by West Fargo Shayenne at Kraft Field Tuesday. Red River entered the tournament as the fourth seed. They had split with Sheyenne during the regular season.
The Roughriders now face an elimination game Friday morning at 11:00 AM against eighth-seeded Fargo North. Red River swept Fargo North this season, winning 9-4 and 4-3. The remainder of the tournament will be played at Jack Williams Stadium in Fargo.
