An East Grand Forks man has been sentenced to eight years and five months in jail on a series of drug charges. Mohamed Ahmed was sentenced this week in Polk County District Court.
Back in July the Polk County Attorney’s Office said the case involved small round light blue pills bearing the imprint M on the side and 30 on the other. Authorities say the pills were very dangerous and the cause of multiple overdoses in the East Grand Forks – Grand Forks area in recent years – although none are linked directly to this case.
The court gave Ahmed credit for 538 days already served.
