(KNOX) – Wednesday afternoon East Grand Forks fire crews responded to multiple fire alarms at Douglas Place, a treatment facility on Gateway Drive North East.

Firefighters arriving on scene found heavy smoke in the building’s hallways. Crews found the source of the blaze in a second-floor room and launched an aggressive interior attack.

The fire was contained and extinguished. No injuries were reported.

Investigators determined the fire was caused by an electrical arc from an improvised charging device being used to charge a disposable e‑cigarette according to the East Grand Forks Fire Department.
