(KNOX) – The Minnesota State Board of Trustees has selected Dawn Erlandson as its next Chair and Jim Grabowska as Vice Chair. Both Erlandson and Grabowska were chosen unanimously and they will start in their new positions next month.
Erlandson is a first-generation college graduate and she has been on the state board of trustees since 2012. She will serve a two-year term after spending the last two years as Vice Chair. Grabowska is a former educator and professor who joined the board in 2022. He was elected to a one-year term as Vice Chair.
Minnesota State oversees 26 community and technical colleges, as well as seven state universities. It serves roughly 270,000 students.
