(KNOX) – Civic leaders in Grand Forks are receiving more data on just how bleak the housing market in the city looks.
Median rents have increased 31% since just 2022, now leading to the average for rent at just under $1,200 in Grand Forks.
The average sale price of a single-family home in the city has risen to $295,000 last year, up nearly 19% over the past five years.
A lack of new homes being built and high demand are being blamed for the increases.
