(KNOX) -A fundraiser has been created for the family of Ian Frye, the 49-year-old man who was killed in a car crash when a 19-year-old Grand Forks man was fleeing law enforcement after a traffic stop.
Frye was from Christine, and he died on County Road 81 south of Fargo when his vehicle was hit by 19-year-old Cornelio Vasquez IV. Vasquez had been going between 140-160 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Vasquez was arrested on six charges that include homicide while fleeing law enforcement, manslaughter, as well as both reckless endangerment and driving.
Frye is survived by his wife and four kids. He recently became a grandfather. He was a piano player who had his own studio in Fargo, which is called Heathens Music Lab. Frye was also a member of several jam bands.
A GoFundMe page has been set up and the donations will go towards funeral expenses and various bills.
