(KNOX) – Saturday was a tough day for the Roughrider bat sports.
Both baseball and softball fell short in state qualifiers, with Red River baseball falling to Fargo South 6-2, and softball losing to Fargo Davies 9-1.
Both teams finished in the top four in the Eastern Dakota Conference standings, but b0th were in very competitive leagues, with softball finishing in a four-way tie for second place.
