(KNOX) – Red River rallied for a pair of runs in the sixth inning, including a Jocelyn Berg home run, to survive their Eastern Dakota Conference tournament softball opener.
The Roughriders stopped Fargo North 3-2 Tuesday at Albrecht Field at UND. The Riders trailed the sixth-seed entering the bottom of the frame, and Berg was the only Rider to record a hit against North pitcher Charlotte Duff before the inning began.
Red River will face West Fargo Horace Friday evening, at approximately 6:00 PM.
