(KNOX) – Hornbacher’s Express Grocery Store on South University Drive in Fargo is officially closing down at 5pm today. The store’s parent company, Coburn’s, Inc. announced in May the store was shutting down because it’s lease is going to expire.
14 full time and 48 part time employees will be affected, and they will all be offered other company positions in the market, as they will be provided with one-on-one transition support.
A petition was made to try to keep the store and it collected more than 1,700 signatures.
Hornbacher’s in Fargo has been in business for more than 70 years. Coburn’s, Inc. bought the store in 2018.
