(KNOX) – Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a farmstead Thursday morning southwest of the city of Thompson.
Deputies were attempting to set up a perimeter around the farmyard when a male subject fired a single shot with a high caliber rifle.
No officers fired their weapons.
Deputies and SWAT members approached the residence in an armored vehicle and gave commands to have occupants exit the home.
A female exited the residence.
The male suspect exited shortly after and he was taken into custody.
Deputies placed Kyle Spicer under arrest for suspicion of terrorizing, felonious restraint, interference with a 911 call, simple assault, and felon in possession of a firearm.
