Bond was set today at $1 million dollars today (Tuesday) for a 43 year old Larimore (ND) man.

Troy Larson appeared in Northeast Central District Court on nine counts including: murder…attempted murder…and seven counts of reckless endangerment.

The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department responded to a Larimore home March 23rd for a reporting shooting. During negotiations shots were fired. The GFSO says Larson later exited the residence and made a movement towards his waist — a deputy fired striking Larson. He was transported to Altru Hospital.

The victim was identified as 64 year old Jamey Holweger who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Larson appeared in court via video from his hospital bed at Altru.

The murder charge carries a maximum sentence of life without parole. A preliminary hearing is set for May 13th.
