Former Bank of North Dakota President Eric Hardmeyer has died. Hardmeyer passed away due to complications of lung cancer on Saturday.
Hardmeyer joined the state-owned bank in 1985 as a loan officer. He assumed the president title, succeeding the outgoing bank president, former governor, and current U.S. Sen. John Hoeven. He held the position until his retirement in 2021.
A memorial service is scheduled March 2nd in Bismarck
