U.S. Senator John Hoeven traveled to Devils Lake this week for another roundtable discussion on health care needs in the Lake Region.
Hoeven says he’s encouraged by CommonSpirit Health beginning renovations at the Devils Lake Hospital — but the community needs more certainty on the long-term plans.
CommonSpirit expects the initial phase of construction to be completed by the fall of 2025. The facility hasn’t had a major investment since 1972.
Altru is also updating facilities in Devils Lake to expand dialysis capacity.
Hoeven says it’s important for the community to know the timeline and committed dollars for future updates while ensuring opportunities for residents to five feedback.
