NDHP: GF County crash and fatal update

A 49-year old Grand Forks man and his female passenger suffered serious injuries during a crash near Thompson this morning.

The North Dakota Patrol says Garland Evans III drifted into a ditch striking a culvert near County 7 and 10th Street NE shortly after 5:00 a.m.

Evans and 41-year old Sylvina Rickard of Cochrane (Ontario) were transported to Altru Hospital.  The NDHP says the accident remains under investigation.

The North Dakota Patrol has identified a 29-year old Lakota woman who was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 2 Sunday night.  Authorities say Bridget Fahey was heading west when the SUV entered the median and rolled southeast of Crary (ND).  Authorities say as the vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes it continued to roll ejecting Fahey who was pronounced idea at the scene.  A juvenile passenger was not injured.
