The Grand Forks School District is reopening the search for a new Business Manager. Only one candidate applied for the post during the initial round of advertising. In his weekly memo Superintendent Terry Brenner says the compensation package was not acceptable to the applicant.
In July the school board approved a new contract for former Business Manager Scott Berge at $151,615 dollars. Berge left the job on February 11th for a position with Altru Health.
In addition to national advertising Brenner says they have reached out to other individuals in the finance world as well as recently retired superintendents and business managers to help find qualified candidates.
Applications will be accepted through May 2nd.
