(KNOX) –Three men were arrested on Saturday in Grand Forks and they are all now facing drug trafficking charges.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations and the Grand Forks Regional SWAT team searched both a residence and vehicle.
37-year-old Omar Williams is facing a Class A felony charge for conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver cocaine. He is also facing a Class A felony for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, a Class B felony for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and a Class C felony for possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
31-year-old Darnell Patterson and 38-year-old Angelo Matthews are both charged with a Class A felony conspiracy for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, a Class A felony for possession with intent to deliver cocaine and Class C felony for tampering with evidence.
Class A felonies come with a maximum 20 years prison sentence.
Court documents say that two Grand Forks Sheriff’s Office pulled over Williams on I-29, and found 53 grams of marijuana, 1.45 grams of fentanyl, and $913.
At the same time, documents say the SWAT team searched Williams’ residence on the 600 block of North Fifth Street. Patterson and Matthews were there, where 241.3 grams of cocaine and $13,620 were discovered.
All three men are currently being held at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for November 2nd at 9am.
