
he North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the driver killed in a head-on crash Thursday morning in Walsh County.
Authorities say 26-year-old Amanda Thompson of West Fargo was driving an northbound SUV that entered the southbound lane of Highway 81 near Ardoch.
The vehicle struck an oncoming semi that was negotiating a curve.
Both vehicles landed in a ditch, with the SUV rolling onto the driver’s side.
Thompson suffered fatal injuries, while the semi driver was not injured.
The accident occurred at 10:00 AM.
