Online voting is open for Minnesota’s second annual “Name a Snowplow” contest.
After receiving nearly 11,000 creative name submissions in December, MnDOT chose 50 finalists for public voting.
The names include: Betty Whiteout, Blizzard of Oz, C-3-P-Snow, Catch My Drift, Coldy Gopher, Edward Blizzardhands, Flake Superior, Say it Ain’t Snow and Tim-brrr-wolf.
Voting is open through Jan. 26. You can vote (one time only) for up to eight names.
The winning names will be announced in February. One snowplow in each of MnDOT’s eight districts will receive a name.
Last year’s winners included Darth Blader, Plow Bunyan and The Truck Formerly Known as Plow.
