A 77-year-old Michigan man has been sentenced in Bismarck to two years in federal prison for identity theft.
Patrick McKee of Flint was sentenced by U-S District Court Judge Daniel Traynor on charges including False Social Security Statements… Health Care Fraud… and Aggravated Identity Theft.
A federal investigation showed that McKee stole someone’s identity in 1997 and retained their social security number under the assumed name of William O’Hara
Since then, McKee used the false identity to obtain healthcare benefits, home mortgages and credit cards … and for numerous other fraudulent pretenses.
Traynor also sentenced McKee to three years’ supervised release and a $400 Special Assessment.
