(KNOX) – A former Minot Rural Fire Department assistant fire chief is pleading not guilty to child sex crimes. 59-year-old Robert Knuth has been charged with two counts allegedly having child sexual abuse materials on a work phone he was using while serving as a firefighter trainer.
Knuth waived his upcoming preliminary hearing and entered not guilty pleas to two counts of conducting a sexual performance with a minor, and one count of possession of certain materials prohibited.
Knuth is out on bond and awaiting trial. A future court date has not yet been set.
