(KNOX) – Minnesota’s minimum wage is going up next year.
Starting January 1, the minimum wage for workers, regardless of whether they work for a large or small business, will be $11.13 an hour. The current minimum wage for large employers is $10.85 and $8.85 for small employers.
The law still allows a lower 90-day training wage for employees under 20 years old. That will go from $8.85 to $9.08 an hour.
The rates are a 2.6% increase.
Minneapolis and St. Paul have their own minimum wage of $15.57 per hour.
