(KNOX) – An inmate at Lake Region Correctional Facility in Devils Lake died yesterday.
The Lake Region Correctional Facility says in a statement that jail staff were made aware of a medical emergency and the inmate was taken to Altru Hospital for treatment. It’s unclear as to what caused the medical emergency. They died at the hospital, and the incident is being investigated.
