(KNOX/KFGO) – North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley is warning the public about companies who are offering stem cell treatments and other human tissue injections during sales presentations at local restaurants.
He says they are making unproven claims their therapies can relieve pain and cure health conditions such as Parkinson’s, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s and autism.
It’s illegal under state and federal law to sell these treatments without clinical testing and Food and Drug Administration approval.
One of these companies, Freedom Regenerative, sent mailers to North Dakotans inviting them to a free dinner where employees give presentations including false and misleading promises of pain reduction.
Wrigley said Freedom Regenerative did business without a state license.
