(KNOX) –20 out of 24 Fargo businesses passed alcohol compliance checks that were done on Tuesday, July 21. Fargo Cass Public Health worked with local law enforcement agencies in Fargo, West Fargo, and Cass County.

As 20 establishments denied serving alcohol to people under 21-year-old, four downtown restaurants failed the compliance check. Those restaurants are Front Street Taproom, NoBull Smokehouse, Pounds, and Würst Bier Hall.

This is the first time each of these businesses failed a compliance check in over a year. The Fargo Municipal Code says a first offense comes with a $500 fine. A second offense would lead to a $750 fine. A $1,000 fine and mandatory license suspensions could be handed down for a third offense.
