(KNOX) –The Grand Forks Royals Baseball team will play Mandan on Tuesday morning in the opening round of the American Legion Baseball Class AA State Tournament. The tournament is happening this year at Jack Williams Stadium in Fargo. The Royals are the six seed after going 9-9 in Conference play, and they will face the three seeded Mandan Chiefs.
Zander Waind has a .333 batting average with 4 Home Runs and 31 RBI’s this season. He’s also 3-3 as a pitcher, with a 3.45 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 46 innings of work.
