Thompson, Midway-Minto, Hatton-Northwood Remain in Basketball Rankings

(KNOX) – Thompson and Midway-Minto continue to lead area teams in the their respective North Dakota basketball polls.

Thompson is fourth again this week in the Class “A” girls basketball poll.  The Tommies fought off Devils Lake by 10 last week, then routed Grafton Monday night 68-31.  Thompson is 9-2 this season.

South Prairie-Max is the top-ranked team, receiving 15 of 16 first-place votes.  The remaining top nod went to second-ranked Valley City.  Turtle Mountain was ranked third, and Hazen was fifth.

Midway-Minto, now 7-1 this season, continues to receive votes in the Class B boys basketball poll.  Central McLean remains the top-ranked team.

Hatton-Northwood continues to receive votes in the Class B girls poll.  They are 8-1 this year.  Benson County is the top-ranked team.

Kindred is the state’s top-ranked Class A boys team.
