Knightriders Rally for Win over Davies

(KNOX) – Ella Bry scored a twice in the third period, with the game-winner on the power play, in a 3-2 win for the Grand Forks Knightriders over Fargo Davies.

Davies took the lead early in the third period on Sophia Rerick’s goal, a shot from the right corner from behind the net that found a favorable path.

Grand Forks rallied with Bry scoring at 6:03 of the second, then banged in a rebound on the power play at 13:25 of the period for the eventual winner.  Davies mounted a charge in the game’s final minutes, but goaltender Claire Fiala stopped several shots in close quarters to allow the Knightriders to hang on.

The win was pivotal for the Knightriders.  They have now tied Legacy/Bismarck for second place in the state standings, and will travel to Dickinson and Legacy/Bismarck this weekend.
