Fire damages MN resort complex

A fire has hit an historic northern Minnesota resort.
Cook County Dispatch was notified of a fire alarm at Lutsen Resort shortly before 12:30 this morning (Tuesday). Staff reported smoke coming from the floor in the lobby area. There were no guests on site.
Fire crews from eight departments responded to the blaze. The building on the north shore was completely engulfed in flames. There were no guests on site and no injuries were reported.
The State Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
