MN man in court on luring charge

A 27 year old Rochester (MN) man on Monday waived a preliminary hearing in a Grand Forks courtroom to charges that include luring minors by computer and solicitation of a minor.

Daniel Henke was arrested in July at an Emerado (ND) restaurant. He is accused of sending text messages to a sheriff’s deputy who he believed to be a 15 year old female. The sexually explicit conversation led Henke to drive from Des Moines (IA) to Grand Forks where he rented a hotel room to meet the teen for sex.

The court on Monday set a final dispositional conference for December 14th.
