GF adds sewer line to construction list

With the clock ticking the city of Grand Forks is hoping to complete a sanitary sewer project before the calendar turns to pave the way for the Memorial Village II project.

At issue is a clay sewer pipe installed by UND in 1927 that runs under the construction site.  The line was part of the original Memorial Stadium build and also serves the Pollard Center.  Due to its condition and capacity concerns the city wants to run a new line along 2nd Avenue North and North 25th Street.

When completed the pipe will serve Memorial Village 1 & 2…Memorial Stadium…Pollard Athletic Center…and the UND softball field.

The total project cost is estimated at $730,000 dollars.  Construction is scheduled to take place this fall.
