Man arrested in GF for luring

A 27-year old Rochester (MN) man faces charges in Grand Forks County on suspicion of luring a minor by computer and solicitation of a minor.

The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department says Daniel Henke was arrested without incident at a restaurant in Emerado (ND) on Tuesday. It followed a text message conversation that Henke initiated with a sheriff’s deputy who he believed to be a 15 year old female. The sexually explicit conversation led Henke to drive from Des Moines (IA) to Grand Forks where he rented a hotel room to meet the teen for sex.

Henke was confined to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center. The incident remains under investigation.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for August 28th.
