
A Devils Lake (ND) man has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison for carjacking a man at gunpoint in Blaine (MN).
The U-S Attorney’s Office says 27-year-old Joshua Lee Sinawa was sentenced to more than four years for carjacking … and a consecutive seven years for brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
Court documents say, at about 4:00 AM on July 30, 2022, Sinawa approached a delivery truck in a supermarket parking lot..and at gunpoint ordered the driver to walk into the store. Sinawa then left the store while the victim was still inside… and fled the scene in the stolen truck.
