A judge has dismissed charges against a Williston man who is accused of firing at police officers. A judge approved a motion made by the state to drop three charges against Eric Obregon but the charges could be reinstated. Obregon was accused of shooting at officers after they stopped his vehicle in December. Williams County State’s Attorney Jaakan Williams said other agencies are investigating the confrontation and want to wait until those investigations are concluded. Neither officer was hurt and they have returned to duty after investigators determined they followed procedure. Obregon was shot in the leg.
