(KNOX) – A mother and son from Polk County are facing multiple felony drug charges after a cocaine overdose investigation led authorities to uncover a large-scale drug operation.
Darla Donaldson, 62 and her son Chase Donaldson, 28, both of Fertile, were charged with first-degree controlled substance crimes.
Each faces three felony counts, including sale, possession, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The investigation stated earlier this month after a woman overdosed on cocaine at a Crookston residence.
The victim was transported to Riverview Hospital, where lab work confirmed cocaine in her system.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Pine-to-Prairie Drug Task Force conducted the investigation.
