Icy roads and fog are blamed in part on a two vehicle pedestrian accident near Northwood Saturday night.
According to the North Dakota Patrol a pickup driven by 57-year old Marcia Sheridan of Emerado (ND) was facing the wrong way on Highway 15 while attempting to pull a vehicle out of the ditch. An approaching SUV driven by 59-year old Jodi Loyd of Northwood (ND) swerved to avoid a collision. The SUV glanced off the pickup and struck 38-year old Nathanael Nolden of Northwood who was standing outside the stuck vehicle.
The NDHP says Nolden was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with unknown injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
