The arrival of all 20 U-S Global Hawk Block 30 unmanned aircraft at Grand Sky was marked today (Wed) by North Dakota’s U-S Senators and the director of the Test Resource Management Center.
Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer welcomed George Rumford to Grand Sky where the Global Hawks will be converted for use in the Management Center’s Sky Range hypersonic missile testing program.
Hoeven said Sky Range will be a game-changer… as the Global Hawks become “Range Hawks” … which will help increase testing capacity through creation of additional testing corridors in the Pacific and elsewhere.
The Global Hawks are being retired by the U-S Air Force..
