
It’s billed as one of the largest gifts in the history of Altru.
The Altru Health Foundation has announced a $1 million dollar commitment from Alerus – the first to be directed towards the new hospital. Alerus Northern Valley Market President Chris Wolf says access to state-of-the-art health care improves the quality of life and is a critical component in attracting and retaining new businesses and residents.
Altru CEO Todd Forkel says it’s incredibly exciting to see the hospital vision come to fruition.
The seven-floor hospital will feature 226 licensed patient beds and a 16-bed observation unit. The cost the build will exceed $400 million dollars. The new hospital is expected to be completed in 2024.
