A busy couple of days for the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Scattered ice is being blamed in part on a one vehicle fatality accident on I-94 east of Tappen (ND) on Sunday. The NDHP says a pick-up driven by 20-year old Brett Harr of Steele (ND) left the road near exit ramp 221 and rolled. Harr was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
On Saturday a semi driver sideswiped a snow plow on I-94 east of Jamestown. The semi entered the ditch and overturned on its side. The 32- year old Hawley (MN) truck driver was not injured. The plow driver was also not hurt in the crash.
On Friday a 60-year old Montana truck driver was killed when his vehicle crashed into a tanker truck loaded with 165 barrels of salt water. The accident occurred at a McKenzie County intersection. The tanker driver was not injured.
