North Dakota’s D-O-T has been awarded $16.75 million to construct passing lanes along approximately 165 miles of US Highway 52 between Carrington and Kenmare.

This is the first award North Dakota has received through the Infrastructure for Rebuilding America grant program.

The D-O-T says the improvements will connect to an ongoing corridor upgrade through the border crossing of Portal, North Dakota.

The announcement was made by North Dakota U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer, the ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
