The Grand Forks School District honored Vicki Peake for 50 years of service during an awards ceremony today. Peake has been an English and Language Arts instructor at Valley Middle School.
In presenting the award Superintendent Terry Brenner said he was in 5th grade when Peake started her career. Brenner called Peake a constant in the ever changing metrics of teaching and a “centerpiece of what’s right in education.”
During the ceremony Peake also received a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Grand Forks signed by Mayor Brandon Bochenski.
