31-Year-Old Grand Forks Man Facing Two Class A Felony Sex Crime Charges For Allegedly Having Sexual Contact With 13-Year-Old Girl

(KNOX) – A 31-year-old Grand Forks man is facing two Class A felony sex crime charges for allegedly having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl. The girl apparently told police he had also been touching her inappropriately over a course of several years.

Court documents say Jesse Rich had touched her when they were together in a car, and the girl’s mother showed home surveillance video that shows the inappropriate touching. Rich apparently sent the girl a text message asking if she “liked it” after the recorded incident.

A statement also says that Rich admitted to investigators he had been touching the girl. He apparently knew it was wrong to touch her where he did and because of how young she is.

Investigators also say there is probable cause to believe that Rich had sexual contact because of what the girl told them, the video recording and with Rich apparently admitting to touching her.

Class A felonies come with a maximum 20 year prison sentence, a $20,000 fine, or both.
