(KNOX) – The Grand Forks Police Department will hold a “Click it or Ticket” campaign from November 1st to December 15th. Officers will be monitoring for seat belt violations during this time.
The purpose of the campaign is to make sure drivers within Grand Forks are using seat belts.
The campaign is funded by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and it allows more officers to be specifically assigned to the campaign.
The Grand Forks Police Department says that seat belt violations are a main reason for a traffic stop to happen, and that the driver and all passengers in a vehicle must have a seat belt on.
