(KNOX) – Mayville State University Football Quarterback Matt Donovan continues to make progress in his recovery, as his father said in a Facebook post that he had opened his eyes and that he was interacting with his family. Donovan suffered a brain bleed when he was hit in the head during a game on September 19th, and was placed in a medically induced coma at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
He is scheduled to be moved to a care facility in Lincoln, Nebraska today. He was scheduled to go to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals last week, but that was pushed back. Madonna is considered to be the fourth-largest rehabilitation hospital system in the country. A GoFundMe for his recovery has raised over $122,000.
