New KSTP/SurveyUSA Polls Shows Close Minnesota Governor And U.S. Senate Races

(KNOX) – A new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll is showing a single point difference in Minnesota’s Governor race, and a tie in the U.S. Senate race.

In the Governor’s race, Democrat Amy Klobuchar is ahead of Republican Lisa Demuth 47 percent to 40 percent. Klobuchar was up by 16 points in a poll last month. In the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Peggy Flanagan and Republican Michele Tafoya are tied at 42 percent. 12 percent of likely voters that participated in the Senate survey are undecided.

The winner of the Governor’s race will replace Tim Walz, and the winner of the U.S. Senate race will replace retiring Senator Tina Smith. Early voting starts today, and election day is November 3rd.
