(KNOX) –A 22-year-old Grand Forks man who was charged with multiple child sex crimes signed a plea deal that has sentenced him to 18 months in prison. He would have received a 10 year sentence.
Roman Harrow was charged with five counts of Class A felony gross sexual imposition for having sex with a minor. Class A felonies have a maximum sentence of 20 years.
Judge Jay Knudson says the plea agreement was reduced because Harrow was as young as 11-years-old when he had sex with the minor.
The sexual conduct happened for three years, starting in 2016 when Harrow was between the ages of 11 and 14 years old. An affidavit says that Harrow had sex with the girl at least six times. The girl was as young as 8-years-old at the time.
