Culver’s in Grand Forks Hosting Fundraiser Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota

(KNOX) –Culver’s in Grand Forks will have a fundraiser for the Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota. The fundraiser will be today, August 25th and Friday, August 28th from 10am to 7pm both days.

A portion of its sales will be used to replace items that were stolen from an American Legion trailer in Moorhead.

More than $30,000 worth of items were taken by a 74-year-old man from Staples, Minnesota. Robert Joseph Andert has admitted to stealing the trailer and burning the items on his property. He was arrested and has been charged with four felonies.

Part of the money that will be raised will go to support the program that takes area veterans on a fully funded trip to Washington, D.C. The veterans on this trip will see war memorials that will be built to honor them. An Honor Flight from Grand Forks is scheduled for November 1 through November 3.

Volunteers will be selling several items like hats, mugs, quilts and kitchen towels in the lobby at Culver’s. They will also be selling gift cards to businesses like Harry’s Steakhouse, All Seasons Garden Center, the VFW and the DRIPBaR. Drive through customers can also donate.
